Church Vision
Believing the call of Jesus upon us as a church, we realise that God has commissioned us to aggressively and lovingly, reach out from Newquay, through Cornwall, into England and out to the four corners of the world with the Good News that Jesus is alive, and is calling all who will listen and follow, back to the Father.
As the foundation of the vision that we believe God has given us for our progress in His work, God has given us Isaiah 54:1-3; "sing O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labour; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the Lord. "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities".
As a church we achieve this directly and indirectly, by planting and establishing, by training and releasing, by praying and supporting, so the Kingdom grows, and is extended. At the heart of this revelation is the desire to establish in Newquay a strong community based "Mother Church" which will greatly impact Newquay and the wider area, that will have a larger congregation with a minimum of 200. As a church that is fertile, then she will have Children that she will resource and support throughout the County and indeed beyond making a wider church of at least 1000 with the growth being made by "New Birth", which is truly the heart of God (2 Peter 3:9).
The vision that God has given has been written (Hab 2:2-3) to clarify the heart of NCC, so that those who wish to formally become partners with us in this work, will also join with us in the fulfilling of this vision. As such unity in this body is an extremely high priority. Jesus said; "every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand" (Mat 12:25). As a church that takes the scriptures of God very seriously, we therefore keep very short accounts with each other!
